Affiliate Description:

Prior to October of 2010, most debt settlement companies charged their fees before they actually settled any of your debts. With those companies taking the majority of the funds the consumer accumulated in their program savings account as fees, it was very difficult; if not impossible, to settle even one of the consumer debts for the first 12 months or more.

As a result of consumer complaints, the FTC made a change to the “TSR” telemarketing sales rule to make it illegal to charge a consumer fee until the company settled a debt. This change went into effect at the end of October 2010.

At DMB Financial, we have always aligned the best interest of our company with the best interest of the consumer. We are not afraid to base our fee on our performance! We supported the FTC rule change in 2010 and still do today. Nearly a year before the change went into effect; we offered a fully FTC compliant, performance debt settlement program.

  1. Any advice for a newbie on joining a legitimate debt relief affiliate?

    Posted by WheelMan | October 23, 2016, 4:09 am
    • I don’t have any great insight because I’m not in that niche so I would say to just do your due diligence on each program to make sure you pick the best ones. Try to find some reviews from present affiliates. Sincerely – Bill

  2. How up to date is this?

Americap has apparently been sold; I spoke to the new company’s affiliate manager who said that things have not been changed around on the tech side (websites, emails). He explained to me how it works and said he would email me training and onboarding materials, but that was weeks ago and multiple voicemails that I’ve left have gone unanswered.

I saw some bad reviews about Debt Consolidation Care (unresponsive teams the like) and their site looks pretty terrible in terms of design. I also can’t find what their trailing fees are (they factor into the commissions).

National Debt Reelieft looks good, but their affiliate program says you can earn $50 per lead rather than the $300 you have here. I liked it better when I could earn $10,000 on a $100,000 settlement referral, but that’s a huge discrepancy there. $41-50 isn’t really THAT high of a high paying affiliate.

My goal is to give my readers access to a quality and reputable debt settlement company, but I’d rather earn more than a couple bucks here and there for doing it. The more I look at these companies, the lower my potential commissions seem to get. For those who have affiliate experience with these companies, any advice on the best way to go?

    Thanks!

    Sincerely,
    ARB–Angry Retail Banker

    • ARB (classic BTW!): I do the best I can to keep all of these programs up to date. But since changes are being made all of the time and the companies never notify me of the changes (I mean… why would they?) I rely mostly on folks like you who run into changes. So thanks for that! Sincerely – Bill Oh, and I’ve never worked that niche so hopefully someone else will jump in here to help.

  4. Everyone seems to look at the affiliate commission they’ll get and whether these companies pays out to affiliates at all. But what I’m so concerned about here is the genuineness of these companies. Are they real or scam? Are they tested and trusted? Do they give customers real value for their money? Pls I need a response. I will like to promote a genuine and reputable company and not an outright scammer.

  5. First, Pinterest users should have more creative options
to customize the home page. This tool (once called Pin – Clout) is very similar to Facebook Insights.

It’s not always easy, but if the material is for something truly important,
it’s the wisest step to take.

  6. For example, knowing the right kind of classes you need and finding time
for personal life to balance your academic activities can be very tasking.
You may give up the opportunity to double or triple major,
or participate in a study abroad program. The Internet has
opened up a whole new avenue for people to take college courses.

  7. Does your site have a contact page? I’m having problems locating
it but, I’d like to send you an email. I’ve got some suggestions for your blog you might be
interested in hearing. Either way, great site and I look forward to seeing it expand over time.

  9. I recently signed up to be an affiliate and am awaiting approval. I did have one question. I was recently working for a Business Debt Settlement Company, and of course they charged very high fees. I want to promote that myself using some of their prospecting and sales model. however I noticed you didn’t list a commission fee for those two programs, can they be sold as an affiliate?

    Thank you.
    J Rhodes

    • Hi Jan: Not sure I understand your message. Can you be more specific about which 2 programs you’re referring to? Thanks – Bill

      Posted by bill | January 2, 2014, 4:50 pm
      • Bill,

Your affiliate site lists the commissions, for the basic, enhanced,
and premium, but I was curious what the commission was for the “Small Business Debt Relief” Program.

        It apparently retails for $1197.

I believe I stated in the earlier post, I used to work for a company that sold debt settlement to small businesses.

        Thank you,
        Jan

Posted by Jan Rhodes | January 2, 2014, 9:06 pm
        • Dear Jan: Its not listed on their website so I’m not sure if that program is still offered. Have you found anything else out?

          Thx- Bill

          • Got it Jan. I sent them an email to get your question answered since they do not address it in their terms. I’ll get back to you when they reply. Thanks again – Bill

          • Jan: Finally have an answer for you:

  10. I think your affiliate description for CuraDebt is misplaced. It talks about ecommerce not debt.
